Throughout pregnancy, you and your baby will receive prenatal care. However, immediately following the birth of your baby, the attention remains fully on the baby, leaving you to navigate the transition of motherhood on your own. This "4th Trimester" should be a time of celebration, excitement, and joy. Instead, many women feel overwhelmed, exhausted, stressed, and scared.
You might find yourself asking "Is this normal?" or "Should I be feeling this way?". You might begin to think "Maybe I'm not able to do this." or say to yourself "Why don't I feel connected and close to my partner and my baby?". Unfortunately, these questions often go unanswered and the next time you will be seen for care is SIX WEEKS after birth.
The time between birth and a postpartum care appointment leaves women susceptible to untruths and unrealistic expectations.
Wild Wren Wellness Postpartum Care (PC) fills these voids and helps you establish a loving connection with the transition to motherhood. During our PC visits, we work together to create the post-birth experience you deserve.
All PC visits are tailored to you and what you feel is most important in the moment.
I want you to feel overjoyed, not overwhelmed, especially during this early postpartum time. Although PC visits are generally thought to be immediately following birth, I am happy to talk about postpartum care at anytime. Even if you baby is three. :)
